SEMI-FINALS
England 1-2 North Korea

England's dream of a place in the inaugural FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup final is over, after a 2-1 defeat by North Korea but Lois Fidler's side still have third place to play for on Sunday, against Germany.

Ho Un Byol squeezed a shot past Lauren Davy at the near post for a 19th-minute lead. Although Jordan Nobbs went lose to equalising, England found themselves 2-0 down, as Jon Myong Hwa oubled the lead a minute nefore half-time.

With 74 minutes played, a clever Lauren Bruton pass found Rebecca Jane, who beat keeper Hong Myong Hui to give England some hope. However, the Koreans resisted and advance to Sunday's final, where they meet the USA.

Germany 1-2 USA
Germany took an early lead against the USA, as Alexandra Popp headed home Dzsenifer Marozsan's 6th minute corner, in front of a crowd of 8,014.

Despite enjoying the lion's share of first-half possession, the Americans still trailed 1-0 at the break, although Kristie Mewis struck the post and Sam Mewis was denied by the crossbar in stoppage-time.

USA keeper Taylor Vancil made a number of saves to keep her side in the game, before Vicki Di Martino levelled the game in the 63rd minute, keeper Anna Sarholz at fault from Erika Tymrak's cross.

The winner arrived with 9 minutes left, after Amber Brooks hit the bar, Julia Roberts missed her chance from the rebound but Courtney Verloo hit the back of the net.
