Reading FC Women Kit Launch
17/07/2008
Reading FC Women's team captain Kelly Chambers was joined by teammate Charlotte Chard for the launch of their brand new 2008/9 Puma kits.

The Royals had a special launch evening to unveil their new strips, and Kelly & Charlotte lined up alongside first team club captain and Scottish international Graeme Murty, as well as Irish international Shane Long and Australian Olympic goalkeeper Adam Federici.

The club were keen to use two of their ladies players to help launch the newly-designed womens fit shirts, and Kelly & Charlotte appeared on national and local media.

This sunday they take on AFC Bournemouth at 12 noon in their second pre-season friendly, having beaten West Bromwich Albion 4-1 the previous week.

Played in the Indoor Training Dome next to the Hawthorns ground, the hosts took the lead, beating debutante keeper Michelle Beazley.

Jenny Ormond hit the Baggies' post before Tash Caswell levelled. Laura Woodley combined with Ormond, who finished well with a flicked header. Catherine Reid added the third, Kelly Sims netting the fourth on her debut.

After competing at the Umbro international tournament on July 26th, Reading continue their preparations away to Fulham and Brighton, on August 3rd & 10th, respectively.
